NEJM beta: Most Popular

What’s Most Popular at NEJM.org?

Lists of what users are downloading and e-mailing, what the press is covering, what blogs are talking about, and what researchers are citing.

The "Most Popular" feature presents rank-order lists of articles and search terms based on how often they are being used in various ways.

We are testing six different lists in this beta application:

  1. MOST VIEWED – The articles that our users are downloading most often, updated every day
  2. MOST CITED – The articles that are being cited in the literature, updated every month
  3. WIDELY COVERED IN THE PRESS – The articles that the press is covering, updated every day
  4. TOP SEARCH TERMS – The most common search terms, updated every day
  5. MOST BLOGGED – The articles that bloggers are linking to, updated every day
  6. MOST E-MAILED – The articles that our users think their colleagues should know about, updated every week

How useful would this new feature be on the main site, NEJM.org?

Let us know what you think by taking the poll to the right.

Additional comments are welcome. Send to beta@nejm.org
